Our blogs are now searchable!
If you've been on either the NutritionData Blog or our Diet and Weight Loss Blog, I'm sure you noticed that both have gotten a fresh new look! The new design is a lot easier to read, don't you think? But there's also a great new feature: You can now search the blog for content by keyword!
You'll find the search box in the upper right hand corner of the page.

I am allergic to nickel. I ended up throwing away my multi-vitamins because they contained nickel. I recently read tht canned foods and a few fresh foods also have traces of this metal. How can I determine what does and does not have nickel?

Monica, you read my mind. Many times I've wanted to refer back something I read on a NutritionData blog, but couldn't find it two months later. It's like all this great information just went into a black hole.
Thanks for the addition. And it's still free!

Monica: one change I would like to see is ability to post pictures in the comments. This way people like me can post before and after blood work results related to a change in diet, and also before and after pictures, and demonstrate our points about the effectiveness of a nutritional approach without entering endless debates.
Also, things like finding which foods are more inflamatory are great, it is just that people lose sight of the big picture. I think the big picture is what your diet is day in day out on a macro nutrient level (carbs/protein/fats), what your caloric intake and caloric requirements are, and how much and how intense you exercise.
