Where did the rest of the nutrients go?

Did you notice the recent change in the nutrition facts pages on Nutrition Data?

In an effort to make these very detailed pages a bit easier to scan, we’re now showing the nutrient tables at the bottom of the page in a summary view. For example, in the Protein section, you'll see total protein but not the individual amino acids. Similarly, in the section for Fats and Fatty Acids, you’ll see the totals for saturated, monounsaturated, and polyunsaturated fats but you won't see the amounts for each individual fatty acid.

All of the detailed nutrition information you're accustomed to is still available,  however. To display the more detailed view, just click on the More Details tab at the bottom of any box, and you'll instantly see the entire list of nutrients.   You can also collapse the detailed view back to the condensed view.

I think it's a nice improvement. What do you think?

Monica, I need help with carb cravings!

I consume a low-fat vegan diet that's rich in complex carbs, including lots of fiber. I consume enough calories in general, and my total GL for the day is always fine (60-80 by the end of the day). But every few days, I get MASSIVE carb cravings that cannot be satisfied until I've either wolfed down half a loaf of bread, or a huge bowl of pasta. Needless to say this is not conducive to my weight loss goals.

What could be the cause of these cravings? Is there any way for me control or reduce them?

I'd really appreciate any information you could give me!

Wow, this site is great! As a technical writer, I appreciate the design and layout of the site. I didn't see it before you made the change, but it's excellent now.
