Happy Thanksgiving!

J0444876
The other day I wrote a blog suggesting that we all examine our attitudes for Thanksgiving and the holidays ahead regarding our food intake. This following link adds more depth into our attitudes around large holiday gatherings. Some of these we might want to embrace for today and the holiday weeks ahead.

My favorite suggestion is inviting a person to dinner that might be alone otherwise.  Most of us have friends and family to share this day with. We might even dread the family reunion, but I encourage you to take a moment and really think about a person whose family may be departed or alone. Better yet invite him to your gathering. Make this a Thanksgiving that this kind of person can enjoy and that will keep your mind off your own eating excesses.

And even if you are struggling to control your weight be grateful for what good health you do have and that every day you have the freedom of choice to actively do something to change it.
