Don't Forget Breakfast During the Busy Holiday Season

With Thanksgiving now behind us it is time to start thinking about how to keep eating healthy and during Breakfast burrito the next set of holidays that usually involves lots of food and drink. One way to help yourself during this busy time of year is to eat breakfast. Studies have shown that eating breakfast helps people eat better during the day and also help people be successful with weight loss.

You don't have to sit down and have a formal breakfast each day. Find what breakfast foods work for you so you have something healthy to eat each morning.

Some things to try for breakfast are:

smoothies made with low fat milk or yogurt and fruit

egg and low-fat cheese burrito

yogurt with fruit and granola

whole wheat bread with peanut butter

oatmeal with almonds and raisins

hard boiled egg with whole grain crackers

No matter what you have for breakfast make sure you have a combination of protein along with something whole grain and some fruit to keep you satisfied so you don't overeat later in the day.

Those are all great, yet easy tips. I love making smoothies for the whole family. We use whatever fruit we have on hand so it's always different. I usually make pancakes too. When i don't have a lot of time i will use batter blaster. It's organic batter that comes in a spray bottle like whipped cream. Another quick but hot breakfast favorite is a fried egg sandwich. I grew up on those!
