Developing Discipline for Dieting

J0341417
So many times a client will tell me they have no self-discipline. One way I respond is by telling them they always have the capacity to learn and develop this skill. Yes, it is a skill! Almost every day we have countless temptations to “practice”  self-discipline with. You really aren't a puppet on a string even though it may feel like it at times.

One thing I do suggest too is to try and anticipate challenges before they actually show up. Before you head out for the day consider what might happen? What has happened in the past to derail you with your dieting efforts? So be prepared. That alone will support your discipline efforts.

You have to have some discipline to be successful at losing and keeping your weight off. So guard yourself with the know how of preparedness, (again, think ahead of time of your challenges and plan accordingly) be positive  that you can learn this skill and take the initiative to develop those skills for long term success!

"We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret or disappointment. " - Jim Rohn
