Blood Sugar Balance for Diabetes and Weight Loss

J0422271 Type 2 diabetes is epidemic right along with obesity.  Stabilizing blood sugar properly helps regulate hunger supporting weight loss efforts and managing diabetes. Specific foods can obviously help or hinder your efforts in this area. Based on some new research from Tulane University and the Harvard School of Public Health in Prevention magazine here are some real specific foods that might help:

- Each additional serving (I’m rather confused by what they mean by the term "additional") of leafy greens like spinach, kale, or chard, may lessen the likelihood of diabetes by 9%.
- This may come as a surprise to diabetics, but for every three servings of fresh fruit a day may cut diabetes risk by up to 18%. Since fruit still contains simple sugars I’d suggest consuming a small amount of lean protein or a small amount of nuts with the fruit to keep blood sugar stable.
- And even though the study also found drinking one serving of fruit juice a day as a help I have always personally discouraged juice because it is still mostly just the sugar of the fruit (not to mention the effect pasteurization has on nutrient values). Eat the fresh fruit instead. The whole fruit will provide extra nutrients and the fiber would be an extra benefit to stabilizing blood sugar as well as being more filling.

There is a new super fruit product on the market now called Chews4Health that contains 4 of the most nutrient rich super fruits on the planet; Goji, Noni, Acai, and Mangosteen. It also contains 4 sea veggies including Kelp, one of the most nutrient rich foods in the world. There`s 4 anti-oxidants and 4 fruit concentrates. These are all natural, no preservatives, artificial color or flavor, everything is dehydrated not cooked, and best of all, they`re chewable.
This is a great product for diabetics, and also vegans, who need more fiber and some extra trace nutrients
