Winter Workout Warnings

I don't know about you, but here in New England it's starting to get pretty cold outside. Just last week Winter_workout_warnings we had temperatures in the 30's and with the wind chill it felt much colder than that…

One thing we had to change with our client programs is to add in a little bit more of a warm-up. For you this may include a longer general warm up on the bike or walking on the treadmill. If you workout out at home, you can do what we do and that's add in some light calisthenics like jumping jacks, jump rope, or even mountain climbers to get a sweat going.

From there we can safely warm-up the body with dynamic stretching or other movements to prepare for the workout.

Working out in the winter is a great way to keep the weight off and keep your metabolism up, and if you play it safe by following these tips you can keep it going all winter strong.
