Coffee and Weight Loss - 1

J0438740 When I discuss caffeine intake with my clients I always stress moderation. I suggest no more than two eight ounce cups of coffee a day (preferably organic due to all the excessive pesticides contained in it).

Did you know coffee fits directly into the receptors for a brain chemical called adenosine? This brain chemical is partly responsible for calming you down. By interfering with this receptor site, coffee can make you feel more alert and although we all like that feeling, it may stimulate you at a time that you may need to be more calm.

Many people just aren’t aware that it may cause blood sugar imbalances which can contribute to more food cravings and overeating (and maybe even be a significant factor in diabetes if consumption is really extreme and frequent).

Another factor has to do with the social implications of consuming coffee with friends. First of all numerous people enjoy the fancy drinks, not just a simple cup of black coffee anymore. Those drinks frequently add more calories, fat, and sugar to something that could already imbalance blood sugar levels. And let’s not forget how much more caffeine those drinks really contain as well! And I won’t even temp us by discussing what else lurks in those coffee houses to taunt us. There just aren’t a lot of healthy choices. Get a reality check of your favorite coffee drink by putting it into Nutrition Data's Custom Search Tool to see how much damage it really can do to your food plan.

Tomorrow I’ll discuss a few more physiological reasons why excess coffee may not be good for your weight loss plan.

I didn't know that coffee was high in pesticides but that makes sense. It would be great to have a different drink to sip on aside from water in social situations.

Some coffees do have pesticides but the gourmet coffees generally do not. I would like you to take a look at this coffee product so you can learn a little more about the benefits of coffee and the Skinny Science that is going into this product. You could greatly benefit from knowing about this. www.GetSkinnyWithCoffee.com
