"I don't feel like it."

J0399905 "I don't feel like it." Does that sound like a common comment in regard to following your food plan or exercise, especially if you've been working at your dieting and exercise for a long time? It's so easy to want to take that break from things once in awhile.

But here are some questions you may want to consider before you do:

  • If you go off your eating plan and not exercise, how will you feel tomorrow about it? And will you be able to get right back on track with things? Will you beat yourself up about it?
  • If you do stick to your plan today how will you feel about yourself tomorrow? Will you feel proud of yourself for following through with your healthy habits even though you were tempted not to stick to things?
  • Which way would you really want to feel? And aren't their enough other situations that get you off track? Do you really need another "day off?"

This is all about the power of choice. The choices you make every single day all contribute to the end result. Wouln't you rather take advantage of making the right choices every time that you possibly can so you can get to your goals that much sooner?
