Healthy Homemade Flavor

Grilling meat helps with low-fat cooking, but just plain grilled meat can be kind of boring. MarinadiGrilled_pork_chopng or having a sauce to drizzle on your meat is a great way to add flavor, but store bought ones can have added sugar or other preservatives that you just don't need. To fix that problem make your own marinade or vinaigrette to serve with your already healthy meal.

Grilled Pork Chops with Garlic Lime Sauce is a low-cal and low-carb dish that has amazing flavor from a homemade vinaigrette. Each serving of this dish, with vinaigrette, has 236 calories and 1 gram of carb. This dish does have 16 grams of fat which mostly comes from the healthy olive oil that is in the vinaigrette. You can reduce the fat by using less vinaigrette on your meat. A nutritional profile of this recipe is available.

As a side to this dish try Black Bean and Tomato Qunioa.  This will add 10 grams of fiber to your meal which will help you feel satisfied after your meal. A nutritional profile of this recipe is available.
