A Gastric Nightmare

J0313990 People are always doing the unthinkable but this link regarding a Krispy Kreme Bacon Cheeseburger (from NY's Google cafeteria) outdoes it in a way that I've never seen before. Even more remarkable is the fact that some people liked the idea of literally consuming such an artery clogging donut sandwich. (Just read some of their responses!) Talk about a heart attack waiting to happen! It's no wonder America is in so much trouble with obesity related diseases like:

  • Diabetes
  • High blood pressure
  • Stroke
  • Heart attack
  • Heart failure
  • Cancer, especially prostrate, colon, and rectum
  • Breast
  • Gout
  • Gout related arthritis
  • Gallstones
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Sleep apnea
  • Pickwickian syndrome (No I am not making this one up!)

I'm sure Nutrition Data's Better Choices plan can come up with a lot more healthy yet tasty alternatives!

That was what I thought about Alton's Brown's battered and deep-fried blocks of Mac'n Cheese. Sounds wonderful unless you like being above ground and sucking air.
