Weight Loss for Diabetics
Doctors tell their diabetic patients to lose weight to help control a diabetic condition. Yet many diabetic medications actually cause weight gain!
Apparently there is an injectable medication (for type 2 diabetes) that can help with blood sugar and still allow a patient to lose weight. In fact the medication Exenatide is under investigation as a weight loss agent due to its weight loss side effects. It's in the newest class of drugs, "incretin," but do take heed, its long term safety is still probably unknown.
In the meantime I still generally push regular exercise, focus on eating healthy foods, and adjust carbohydrate intake, especially the processed forms. Usually a total of 50%-55% carb intake is adequate for most people with irregular blood sugar issues, although a diabetic may vary dramatically in how he responds to any given eating plan.

I tried this med and it did make me feel better but it is ultra expensive and NOT worth the expense.
