Fruits and Vegetables Can Help you Lose Weight!

J0422959 Yesterday Science Daily reported that "Scientists in Arkansas are reporting new evidence that natural pigments responsible for the beautiful blue/purple/reddish color of certain fruits and vegetables may help prevent obesity." Just note it is the concentrated extract of these compounds that give these results.

I am forever touting the benefits of eating more fruits and vegetables just for the health benefits alone (the study mentioned that too of course) and now I can convincingly say that the anthocyanins found in numerous berries and grapes help you lose weight too.

There might not be any clinical evidence but I've always felt that when people are getting a lot of nutrients, fiber from whole food sources, and the right balance from their food, the body is getting what it needs.  You won't have so many cravings and you might not seek out extra high calorie foods to feel satisfied. All of this benefits weight loss.
