Will Power and Desire

J0382858 A few weeks ago I started discussing various aspects of will power. Since will power seems like such an elusive quality in the month of December, I'm going to continue to reveal its' many faces. Today I'm covering "desire" and how it relates to will power.

To develop will power around losing or maintaining weight, your reasons for doing so have to be very compelling and enthusiastic. It can't just be "Well, I'd like to lose a little weight."

As an example many people say "I want to have more energy." What does that even mean?  What would you do with that all that energy? How would you feel every day?  What would it be like to wake up every morning with boundless energy? Be specific. Look at all your motivators in depth and get excited about them. Every day take some time to really think about at least one of them to deepen desire and enthusiasm.

"Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes shine to the stars. Enthusiasm is the sparkle in your eyes, the swing in your gait, the grip in your hand, and the irristable surge of will and energy to execute your ideas." – Henry Ford
